Childcare Health Protocols
As we make the move towards re-opening our nursery and other activities, there are certain protocols that will be in place to assure the safety of our children. These protocols are a guideline that we will follow and may be adjusted as we move into later stages of re-opening. We thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate these unchartered waters!
Our nursery will open at 9:45 a.m. for those who wish to attend Sunday School at 10:00 a.m.
For our Workers
All workers in our nursery will complete a health screen and have their temperature taken upon arrival. While working with your children, our workers will wear a mask and sanitize often.
Space and Resources
Our space and resources will be thoroughly sanitized each week. Toys will be sorted through and anything that cannot be easily sanitized will be removed. Limited choices will be made available during the session and toys will be set aside for sanitation after a child has played with it.
Drop-off and Pick-up
Drop-off and pick-up will be limited to one parent. The parent who drops-off will need to plan to pick-up as well. At this time, younger siblings will be asked to refrain from being the drop-off or pick-up person. One family at a time will be invited into the nursery lobby to get their child registered. Other families will be asked to wait in the hallway.
A health screen and temperature check will take place before your child is taken into their classroom. The designated check-in person will take your child to their classroom to limit the number of people walking into our sanitized rooms.
At this time, we will not be taking diaper bags. You will be provided with a Ziplock bag for diapers, wipes, and a bottle if needed.
During Session
When your child is brought to their classroom, a teacher will help them wash their hands. Your child’s time in the nursery will look quite similar to the way it has looked in the past. They will still be able to play, color, and see their favorite teacher and friends.
For the time being, we will not be handing out snacks unless it is medically necessary. We also ask that your child leaves their cup at home. We will provide single use cups for water and throw them away after they have been used.
Post Session
All rooms and toys will be sanitized. Our bathrooms will be cleaned and our floors will be vacuumed to assure that all germs are killed.
